Brief Teaching Philosophy
Education is the bedrock of societal progress, and I believe that instilling a sense of personal responsibility in students should be a primary duty of any educator. I aim for critical thinking to act as the foundation of my classroom learning environment. Whether as a teaching assistant leading discussion sections or as the instructor of record, I encourage students to think freely and challenge their own biases and assumptions. Where possible, I prefer depth to breadth and always invite questions, lively discussion, and challenging but respectful debate. I foster a dynamic and open climate where my students are able to contemplate the topics under study, developing an intuitive understanding and command of the subject matter rather than merely memorization or surface comprehension.
